The CipherShed team started as a small group of people who didn't like the direction that the TrueCrypt.ch group of people were taking the project in. It was many irrational problems like trying to turn the open source project into a money farm or dropping Windows support. I have had no clue what has been going on in that forum since this group started as I just stopped paying attention after I saw how outrageus things were, so I'm not sure what has changed since then on the TrueCrypt.ch end. The person who owns the TrueCrypt.ch website, Jos Doekbrijder, is supporting our development with the Pure-Privacy association and I think the two groups are trying to unify as a divided community isn't as good as a unified community. I think Jos and the Pure-Privacy association is basically managing the publicity of the CipherShed project as well as expenses like signing certificates for Windows development.
