Is there a reason you did not give me credit for my splash idea?

- warning splash screens for windows/mac users, that the OS itself might render encr. meaningless in some cases.

Subject: List of items we will consider (read before you post!)

Please note that "accepted" means not that it will actually be implemented. Rather it means that we consider it a feature worth considering, and we will implement it if time management and security/complexity tells us it's good.

Anyways, here is the, possibly incomplete, list, in no particular order as of yet:

• Boot Loader (by Sabbath)
  Entire boot loader, supporting a keyfile option, on a USB Flash drive similar to Diskcryptor. ntldr has demonstrated incredible possibilities with a standalone boot loader.
• Hashing (by WaywardGeek & Sabbath
  Include better hashing algorithms, and more a user defined number of hashing rounds.
• Plausible Deniablity Enhancement (by Sabbath and others)
  Many people complain about restricted plausible deniability features in TC. This includes what was said in the thread, but also the ability to create more than one hidden drives.
• GPT Large drive Support (also by Sabbath)
  I believe this will become increasingly important and frequently requested.
• A warning splash
  informing users that CipherShed is not the solution to all their problems, and they still need to worry about other factors, e.g. their systems integrity (esp. Windows, Mac?)

Do you genuinely believe attention / credit seeking warrants a dedicated thread on the forum ? I should have thought a PM would have been more appropriate.

I personally believe nag screens are a bad idea, users rarely read them properly and it will become annoying to users over time, unless they can disable it.

Neither attention nor credit is especially important. You are judging me, putting motivations on me, etc. Please stop.

I am trying to better understand the mentality of this group towards ideas provided by people from various backgrounds. If ideas are not going to be discussed, or accurately attributed as a basic courtesy, I suggest shutting the forum down and just doing all of your work in private. Just go Truecrypt all over again...

I see no need for a PM, when the response to my question will reveal a lot about the attitude of the group. Compul's list was public, not a PM. The attitude of the group, in turn, reveals a lot about whether the project is trustworthy. So, could you please lighten up?

Probably because at the time I was too lazy / in a hurry to look up where you wrote that, and thought it wouldn't be an issue.

Credit for a splash screen means nothing to me. It was a psychological test because all the TC forks are showing signs of turning inward.

BTW, forking TC may become a problem:

They misread the email from the dev who said changing the license or using the trademark TrueCrypt is impossible... Everyone does that recently I don't get it.
