Closing up the process

Postby Resonance » Mon Jun 16, 2014 8:29 pm

We all probably want the end user version of TrueCrypt to be available far and wide, but technical, policy, implementation, even funding discussions may be better suited for a smaller audience. Usenet will help weed out the tactical trolls and people who aren't very technical.

It seems to me that programmers thinking they universally know better the needs of ordinary users, and closing up the process, is an ominous sign. Almost no one who uses TC is going to be computer illiterate.

This is very worrying, a real step backwards.

I have witnessed their behaviour, statements and "incidents" since TC closed down and I have to admit, I would not be confident with anything they release as software.

Personally I think ciphershed should go it alone and distance themselves as much as possible from truecrypt.ch.

I think you two should join the mailing list. This kind of meta-discussion usually happens there. You can browse the archives and see what has been discussed.

How is the person that made that statement (pr3d4t0r (Eugene Ciurana)) affiliated with tc.ch?

I guess you need to ask him directly.

No need for that, given his initial message he appears to be new and I actually tend to believe that. I was just thinking there was a base for associating what pr3d4t0r said with TCnext that I was missing, but apparently there is not then.

Oh I see, you are trying to critique my post, LOL

Paragraphs and particularly "topic sentences" should suffice. I sympathise it is not easy to visualise paragraphs on this forum as the text line is so long.

I guess you are unhappy I used the word "their" also, particularly when employed in a topic sentence, I should have actually defined "tc.ch" instead. Sloppy writing, I admit. I just took for granted most readers would be able to follow it.
